Sample Story
I Can Be a Good Friend
My name is Ryan, and I am 8 years old. I have a dog named Buddy, who is my good friend. Buddy has soft fur and a happy tail. Playing with Buddy feels comfortable and happy.
At school, there are many other children. I see them in my class and on the playground. Sometimes, the children play in groups. They might run together in the yard or build with blocks in the classroom. They often laugh and talk with each other. This is something friends do together.
Sometimes, I watch the other kids and think about joining them. It can feel confusing to know how to start. My tummy might feel funny, or my heart might beat a little faster. Many people feel shy when they meet new people. It is okay to feel this way.
Friends are people who are kind to each other. They listen to each other. They can share ideas and share toys. Having a friend can be nice, because they can make you smile. I am a very kind and gentle person. I am also a good listener. These are wonderful things to be.
There are many ways to show someone you are friendly. A friendly person might look at someone and smile. Smiling is a quiet way to say hello. Sometimes I might try to smile at another child. It is a small and simple way to be kind.
It takes time to make a new friend. It does not always happen right away, and that is okay. I have my great friend, Buddy, at home. And I know I am a good, kind person who could be a wonderful friend to others, too.

With engaging illustrations and multiple format options, our platform provides an enjoyable and effective learning experience that supports the child’s emotional and social development while empowering parents with valuable resources and community support.
🔥 The Core Problem (Why it feels “meh”)
Right now your homepage is:
- Informational
- Slightly clinical
- Feature-focused
But your audience (moms of children with autism) is:
- Emotional
- Overwhelmed
- Looking for relief, not features
👉 You’re selling a feeling (calm, understanding, hope)… not a tool.
âś… 5 HIGH-IMPACT FIXES (Do these first)
1. 🔥 Replace the Hero Headline (MOST IMPORTANT)
Current issue: Too generic / unclear emotional hook
Fix it with something like:
“When the world feels confusing… your child deserves a story that makes sense.”
Subheadline:
Create gentle, personalized stories that help your child understand social situations—without stress, pressure, or overwhelm.
CTA:
Create Your First Story (Free)
👉 This alone will dramatically improve engagement.
2. ❤️ Add an Immediate Emotional Section (Right under hero)
Right now you go too quickly into “what it is.”
Instead, validate the parent:
Headline:
“You’re doing your best… but some moments are just hard.”
Bullets:
- “Why won’t they listen?”
- “Why is this so overwhelming for them?”
- “Am I handling this the right way?”
Then:
Autism Storytime helps you turn those moments into calm, understanding, and connection.
👉 This creates instant emotional alignment
3. 📖 Show the Transformation (Before → After)
Parents don’t buy features—they buy outcomes.
Add a simple section:
Before:
- Meltdowns
- Confusion
- Anxiety in social situations
After:
- Calm understanding
- Predictable expectations
- More confident interactions
👉 This should be visual and simple (3 columns max)
4. 🧠Simplify “How It Works” (You’re over-explaining)
Right now it likely feels like “too much thinking.”
Replace with:
How It Works (3 steps ONLY)
- Enter your child’s details
- Choose the situation (sharing, transitions, etc.)
- Get a personalized story instantly
CTA again:
Try it free →
👉 Keep it dead simple. No paragraphs.
5. 💬 Add a “Mom Moment” Example (VERY POWERFUL)
This is missing and it’s huge.
Add a short story snippet:
“Before going to the store, we read a story about waiting in line.
This time… he didn’t panic. He held my hand.”
👉 That’s the sale.
Even better:
- Show a sample illustrated page
- Or a short story excerpt
⚡ QUICK VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS
- Use more white space (feels calmer)
- Larger font for emotional statements
- Fewer words per section
- Break everything into short blocks
- Add one warm parent-child image above the fold
🧲 STRONG CTA STRATEGY (You need repetition)
Right now CTA is likely weak or buried.
You should have:
- Top (hero)
- After emotional section
- After “how it works”
- Bottom
Always the same:
Create Your First Story (Free)
🧠POSITIONING SHIFT (Big insight)
Right now you’re saying:
❌ “Create personalized autism stories”
You should be saying:
✅ “Help your child understand the world—gently”
đź’Ą If You Only Do ONE Thing
Change the hero section and add the emotional validation section below it
That alone will:
- Increase time on page
- Increase signups
- Make everything feel clearer
Everyday moments can feel overwhelming…
- Going to school
- Visiting the doctor
- Meeting new people
- Trying something new
Autism Storytime turns those moments into calm, predictable experiences.
